  The Mission Bay Aquatic Center's surfing program is the largest instructional program in the United States. The surf staff are year-round instructors for Mission Bay Aquatic Center and San Diego State University Exercise and Nutritional Sciences classes. Our staff will help campers develop lifelong surfing skills and ocean awareness.  
 

MULTI-LEVEL SURFING

This course provides a safe, supervised introduction to surfing, which stresses water safety, beach and ocean awareness, skill fundamentals, surfboard handling, standing up, angling and wave judgment. Campers must be strong swimmers and have a high degree of confidence in the water. We use soft foam boards and fiberglass boards that are specially crafted for the beginning surfer.
