- Kayaking is one of the fastest growing sports of this decade. Advances in boat hulls have created boats that are light, fast and extremely comfortable. The Mission Bay Aquatic Center provides an entire "kayak center" right on the secluded waters of Mission Bay. It's a perfect place to learn to paddle.
This course is designed for the youth with little or no kayaking experience. Basic fundamentals taught will include boat handling, body positioning, strokes, recoveries, water safety and equipment care. Campers will tour the coves of Mission Bay in sit-on-top kayaks. Qualified campers may advance to sit-inside kayaks. Mission Bay Youth
